“My wife and I rented out the whole lodge along with a few other couples and we had a wonderful experience. The property has everything you could need including a pool, hot tub, great sound system and running/hiking trails. Danielle and her husband organized a wonderful wine tour for us at several local vineyards and we contacted her close friend, Chef Martin, who prepared several great meals for us at the lodge while we relaxed by the pool. We will definitely return if we find ourselves in the Sonoma area again.”

“The Alexander Valley Lodge was an absolutely exquisite experience for us – I hosted a group of good friends to celebrate my birthday and it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting. We took full advantage of the kitchen/grill to cook a huge dinner, relaxed in the hot tub, explored the nearby hiking trails and enjoyed coffee on the patio in the morning over breathtaking views. Danielle was extremely helpful and greeted us upon arrival to show us the grounds. I would highly recommend this to anyone hoping for a relaxing and elegant getaway (with close proximity to wine country and plenty of hiking trails!)”

“We had a team offsite at the lodge for one night, 8 dudes, and it was the perfect size with all the beds and pullout couches. My coworkers were just amazed by how awesome the place is and were constantly asking me how I was able to find a place like this. Everything is clean, there’s loads of room, the pantry was full of goodies, and the view is incredible. I would definitely see myself coming back with a bunch of friends for a weekend, I’m sad we had only one night there. Our host Danielle was very responsive and welcoming.”

“We rented this house for a surprise birthday weekend with 6 couples. It was absolutely perfect and had everything we could have asked for. Danielle was easy to work with and provided everything necessary to get us through the weekend. This house is absolutely fabulous! It would be great for a girls trip, family get together, corporate event, etc. Anything you want is right at your fingertips.”

“A group of ten spent a week in this wonderful lodge. We had a wonderful time and would definitely rent this property again. The lodge is not a fancy place–it is a lodge– but is extremely comfortable and roomy. The bedrooms are a nice size and the living space allowed room to spread out. The patio has glorious views and the stars at night were beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed. The owners were wonderful to work with and Danielle helped us plan two days of wine tasting and made reservations for us. She also had wonderful suggestions of some things to do and see. Danielle and her husband, Scott, have a van available for their guests and Scott was our driver on our wine tasting ventures. He is a great tour guide. We did use Chef Martin two nights. Oh, definitely book him! He planned fabulous menus for us was delightful to work with. We all fell in love with him and his cooking. The other reviews are correct–don’t miss the mushroom soup. However, the butternut squash soup was also fabulous. The first night we had him was the night we arrived and it was nice to settle in and not have to cook or go out. Also, Chef Martin makes a lot of food so we had plenty of leftovers for two other meals.”

“My husband and I stayed at the Alexander Valley Lodge for a small family reunion. We arrived late and it was dark as we drove up the drive. When we got out of the car I felt like I was standing in front of a castle. Each room I entered was so spacious and I imagined how much fun it would be to have a big group of family and friends socializing in the very interesting two level living rooms. There was even a running fountain in the living room as we entered the house. It was late so we went to sleep, but woke early because I was anxious to look around. First night sleep was short but bed was very comfortable! My first view of Northern California was out the huge picture window in the master suite. It was breath taking! I immediately took a picture and sent it to people back home. I then investigated the rest of the house and found every room interesting and decorated so uniquely. Huge, beautiful and very comfortable are a few words I would use to describe the lodge. It was a very peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable visit. Owners Danielle and Scott are the best!”
